Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar
Hang out in one of the oldest bars around, serving beer & frozen drinks in a dimly lit setting since the 1700s.
Dat Dog
One of our favorite spots to grab a dog and beer on Frenchman Street! They offer an array of gourmet sausages, all-beef hot dogs (with vegetarian and vegan options) in a brightly colored, unpolished environment.
Acme Oyster House
Some of the best oysters you can find in NOLA (try 'em chargrilled), but be prepared to wait in line!
Pat O'Brien's
A great place to grab a hurricane in the French Quarter. Most weekends they also have dueling pianos!
The Carousel Bar & Lounge
This classic lounge at the Hotel Monteleone has a circular bar that revolves like a carousel.
Garden District
Take a walk around the Garden District's lush avenues and you'll feel transported into a southern oasis shaded by blossoming magnolia trees. You'll also find some of New Orleans' best boutique shopping along Magazine Street.

Our favorite bar on Frenchman Street to grab some drinks and see live music. Stop by Dat Dog (right across the street) for some late night bites before or after.
Cafe Du Monde French Market
If you've never been (and even if you have), don't miss out on the open-air cafe in the heart of the French Quarter, which looks out onto Jackson Square. Once you're settled at a tiny wrought-iron table, be sure to order a plate of beignets (hot & delicious fried dough covered with a hefty coating of powdered sugar) and a cafe au lait.
