We will be adhering to any restrictions that the city may have to put into place in the coming months. Starting Feb 1st, 2022, the City of New Orleans will require proof of full vaccination (two doses) or a negative PCR or antigen test within 72 hours (must include name and date of test) upon entry to large gatherings. Please be prepared with your vaccination card or negative test and ID when arriving.
Leave the littles at home this evening. We adore them, but we’re looking forward to celebrating our marriage with adults only.
Our wedding will be cocktail attire!
ASAP! Since the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament is being played in New Orleans the same weekend of our wedding, we recommend booking travel and accommodations as early as possible to avoid low availability and higher rates. We have set up discounted blocks at a handful of hotels in the downtown area to ensure our guests have options at multiple price points. However, we have a limited number of rooms at each hotel and rates will only be available up until 2 months before our wedding weekend - so book early!
We recommend arriving a half-hour before the start of the ceremony. With the excitement from the NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four game we expect there to be more traffic than usual - so plan ahead. The venue is right off of Bourbon Street, so feel free to head to the French Quarter early to grab a drink beforehand!
While there will not be transportation from our recommended hotels to the wedding ceremony, it’s an easy Uber or Lyft ride to the venue from anywhere in the city! Or if you feel like arriving in quintessential New Orleans style, you can walk and take in the sites along the way (most hotels are no more than a 15 minute walk).
Since the venue is right in the heart of the French Quarter, we recommend using Uber/Lyft or walking to the venue, especially if you plan on drinking. However, if you would like to drive the Sheraton Four Points is on the same block as the venue (800 Toulouse) and has a valet garage. There are also 2 premium parking lots on the corner of Toulouse and Chartres (across from each other, one covered, one uncovered). Lastly the Omni Royal Hotel on Chartres has a garage and is a block away.
A cocktail reception - the wedding style of choice in NOLA - is where the format for the evening is like a cocktail party with guests mingling throughout the evening while being served food in the form of passed hors d'oeuvres and meal stations, which will be open throughout the night. So while there will be no formally seated dinner, rest assured that food and drinks will be flowing steadily and plentifully throughout the event!
While there will be no formally seated dinner or assigned seating, we will have plenty of tables & chairs for everyone to be comfortable throughout the event.
Both the wedding ceremony and reception will mostly be held outside in the courtyard (weather permitting). That said, the inside of the restaurant will be open so the venue will function as an indoor/outdoor space for the evening.
