We first met in 2014 during our first year at the University of Victoria. At just 18, we had both moved out of our parents’ homes and into a house with four other roommates—despite being complete strangers at the time. It didn’t take long for us to become close friends, quickly realizing we wanted to spend nearly all of our time together. Our friendship soon turned into something more, and we became inseparable. Much of our early relationship was spent together at university, often prioritizing time with each other over going to class. Rob officially asked me to be his girlfriend on February 11th, 2015. In 2018, we adopted our dog Evee—easily one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Since then, we’ve shared countless adventures, travelling through Mexico, the United States, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Australia, Fiji, and New Zealand. Together, we love training for races, cooking, road trips, and exploring new places. In 2023, we made one of our biggest life decisions yet—moving to New Zealand so I could attend veterinary school. After ten years together, countless adventures, and building a life side by side, Rob FINALLY proposed in November 2024.
