We're Getting Married!

We probably met somewhere around 10 or 11 years old, during the weekly Sunday morning basketball gatherings that both of our dads went to. We went to junior high together, ran cross country together, and in 7th grade we did a few months of walking around holding hands, avoiding eye contact, and awkwardly talking to each other. In 9th grade, we did the same thing, getting slightly less awkward with age and hormones. Then we went to high school together, shared one class, watched each other play sports, went to some school dances, and hung out during lunch and our free period. We migrated 45 miles west to Laramie to go to college together at University of Wyoming (Go Pokes!), where Quintin would spend the next four years playing golf. We spent some time studying in the business building, took lots of trips to McDonalds, had occasional adventures to downtown Laramie, and watched lots of football and basketball. During the summers, we took trips all over, both together and with friends, but always found time for a trip or two to the Wind River Range to sleep on the ground and eat dehydrated food in the most beautiful place in the world. After college, I took off for grad school to study occupational therapy for two years, Q played golf professionally, and we maneuvered a long-distance relationship. After a couple years, we both settled back into Wyoming and in July of 2020, Q popped the question in the Wind River Range. We've grown up together, figured out who we are together and as individuals. We have gone through a lot together, grown together, and have learned a lot from the world and each other. We learned how to both give each other support and lean on each other when we need it. Which brings us to about now, a long way from little kiddos throwing basketballs around, but still learning and still figuring out life together in this crazy world.
