There are different vibes of beaches in Florida. If you just want a chill time with sand, water, ice cream, and maybe souvenirs then go to Indian Rocks. If you want entertainment, go to Clearwater Beach and Pier 60. There are incredible street performers that bid to perform there every sunset, 365 days a year. There are vendors with unique hand-made jewelry, paintings, and souvenirs. Walk a block and you'll find the original (I think) Hooter, Hulk Hogan's bar (and you might see Hulk Hogan himself), rooftop bars with great views, and clubs. There is also sand, water, souvenir shops, ice cream, weird beach car rentals, and you can rent sun shades. Clearwater Beach has previously been voted the #1 beach in the USA.

They've got ponds and Adirondack chairs along the path so you can stop and smell the non-roses. If you'd like to see a bunch of tortoises or a bat house, check out the more woodsy path all the away on the east side, cross the parking lot, find the path, and go past the gazebo.
