Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Garden or Cocktail attire is encouraged. Garden Attire: Wear dancing shoes, sundresses, suits in lighter hues, and fun hats. The baritone look of not wearing a tie is encouraged. Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, little black dresses, dressy jumpsuits, and jackets and slacks. The wedding's color scheme is midnight blue and hunter green. If you would like to join in on those colors, please do! But it is not required. Think about footwear: The ceremony will be outside on gravel. The cocktail hour will be on grass, so stilettos will be tricky. The reception will be inside and air conditioned on wood floors. Wear shoes you feel comfortable dancing in!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! If you are available, we would love for you to join us Friday (the day after the wedding) at Splash Harbour Water Park. Please go to the Events page of this website for more details. Update: The weather looks clear. See you there!

I have dietary restrictions. What's in the food?

Answer

Appetizers: Wild Cranberry Ginger Glazed Meatballs - contains gluten Korean Beef Skewer - Contains soy, possibly contains gluten Entrées: Pan Seared Herb Garlic Chicken - gluten free, lemon sauce contains dairy. Lemon sauce will be served on the side. Sesame Garlic Ginger Glazed Stir Fry Tofu - Vegan, contains soy and gluten Sides: Sautéed Garden Green Beans - gluten free, vegetarian Herb Roasted Potatoes- gluten free, dairy free Dessert: Cake: probably contains dairy, eggs, gluten...basically, all the good stuff • The largest tier is chocolate cake with cookies & cream filling. Kody's favorite! • The middle tier is spice cake with peanut butter filling. Elm's favorite! • The smallest tier is spice cake with a light chocolate mousse filling. • All tiers will have an outer vanilla icing. • We will not be saving any tiers for our 1st year anniversary. Our baker insists on baking us a fresh cake. :) So eat up!

Can I bring a date or my kids?

Answer

We are trying to keep our guests under a certain number. If your invitation invites you and a guest, please bring 1 guest. This wedding would probably not be particularly interesting to youngsters. They would have a much better time someplace else.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive 20 minutes prior to the 5:00 pm ceremony to allow time to walk to the ceremony space and settle in. Parking is available on the farm and takes a short walk. Handicapped parking is also available snd is directly in front of the building, 30 feet from the ceremony space.

Yes! Please go to the Travel section of this website. We have suggested hotels and included the coupon code/link you may use to get a discount.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! As you drive down the road approaching the farm, the parking lot is the first part of the farm on the right. Handicapped parking is available on the right side of the road a few feet further on, in front of the building. Please reserve parking in front of the building for our handicapped guests. You will not need to drive to the reception from the ceremony. It is right next to the ceremony!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No, our apologies. You will need to provide your own transportation to and from the hotels and ceremony. And if you're joining us at the water park the next day (which we hope you do! Please look at the Events page of this website for more information) take note of the distance.
