We are asking all of our guests to be fully vaccinated to attend our wedding. We love and trust you all and will not be checking vaccine cards for the wedding (unless the venue requires it, right now it does not). You should definitely have your vaccine card handy while you are exploring Chicago. As of right now the city requires proof of vaccination for dining and entertainment for everyone over the age of 5.
YES! Many of our loved ones have small children, so your child will have friends to play with. The bride is having fun thinking of special activities just for the kiddos. Our venue should provide plenty of space for play as well as quieter areas when the celebrations feel too loud.
Probably not. It is easy to get around Chicago by public transit and/or Uber. As noted in our "Where to Stay" tab, we will provide a shuttle service between the venue and your choice of 3 hotels so no one has to drive that doesn't want to. We plan to have designated times at the start and end of the event, so if you plan on leaving earlier in the evening you might need to arrange alternative transportation (Ubers will come to Winnetka). But of course: do what's best for you!
I'm going to call the dress code "Garden formal". We want our wedding to be both beautiful and fun. We plan on providing some games and activities for our guests as well as a lovely meal and dancing. This is all to say, our wedding will be lovely but not overly glamorous. If you're wondering what to wear: find something that is both dressy and comfortable- don't overthink it.
Surely not... Call us/email us about what we've forgotten and we'll add it to our webpage!
