Things To Do in LA

The Wedding Website of Ellie Pyle and Michael McLean
There is a lot to do in L.A.. There is a lot of L.A. Here are a few things we enjoy near the hotel in Burbank. And one favorite further a field (pictured above) if you're extending your stay. If you need recommendations elsewhere in town, let us know!
The Green Man Store

The Green Man Store

824 North Hollywood Way, Burbank, CA 91505

Nowhere in Los Angeles has been a bigger part of our story than The Green Man Store. It's where we met, where we fell in love, and where we still spend a lot of our time. If you get a chance, swing by to check out the beautiful artwork, the one of a kind collection of metaphysical supplies, and the in house apothecary. If you're looking for something specific, the staff is very knowledgeable, but we're also happy to make recommendations. You might even be able to get a reading! (Though we recommend booking that online ahead of time.)

Porto's Bakery and Cafe

3614 Magnolia Boulevard, Burbank, CA 91505

LA's favorite Cuban bakery. The lines are long but the potato balls are worth it.

Magnolia Park

Magnolia Park

3413 Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505, Burbank, CA 91505

Magnolia Blvd between Kenwood St and Buena Vista St is lined with fun shops and restaurants! (Think Carytown in Richmond or Broughton Street in Savannah.) Outside of The Green Man Store and Porto's, some of our favorites include: Romancing the Bean (an independent coffee shop) Audrey *K (most of Ellie's favorite pieces of clothing came from here) It's a Wrap (a thrift store selling studio wardrobes from actual films and shows) Vulture Culture Oddities ("a haven for all things strange, macabre and odd". Michael got Ellie a peacock tapestry from here for Valentine's Day)

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood

3400 Warner Boulevard, Burbank, CA 91505

If you need one classic touristy "Hollywood" thing, this is the closest to the hotel. And it's the best studio tour you can get without paying theme park admission prices.

The Obscure

The Obscure

1356 Palmetto Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013

One outlier just to make the map weird....this distillery and cocktail tasting experience (with in-house cajun bites) is worth the trek downtown. We first went for our six month anniversary and it's still one of our favorite date nights. And excellent blend of (strong) spirits and storytelling.
