FAQs

The Wedding Website of Ellie Pyle and Michael McLean
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

June 1, please! (Though if you are able to do so earlier, you will gain the gratitude of a community theatre producer frequently asked to accommodate day-of comp requests for oversold shows.)

Question

Can I bring my kids/a date/anyone else not explicitly listed on my invitation?

Answer

No, you may not. All guests are listed on the invite. If we are able to extend additional invitations at some point in the future, we will let you know. Thank you for understanding!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please! There's space to do so on the RSVP form, but if you have additional concerns, please email us at Pyle.McLean@gmail.com.

Question

Do I really need to email you? Can't I just text/WhatsApp/call?

Answer

If it's important (like a food allergy) and you email us at Pyle.McLean@gmail.com then we'll both have a record of it regardless of who you talked to.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony /reception?

Answer

Yes! Free parking is available at the wedding venue!

Question

Is it possible to take a ride share to/from the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, it is possible, and there is a designated ride share area. Cell service may be a little iffy, but we can provide a wifi password if needed. Waymo may not be available.

Question

If I'm flying in, do I need a rental car?

Answer

Maybe. You definitely will* if you are flying into LAX or staying somewhere other than the hotel. If you are flying into Burbank, the hotel is very close to the airport and there may be an opportunity to carpool to the wedding venue. We're still working that out. More soon! (*I mean, you can ride share, but it's likely going to be upwards of $100 each way between LAX and Burbank, and $50-60 each way from Burbank to the venue so a car might be worth it.)

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

California Cocktail: Bright colors, sundresses, jumpsuits, separates, maxi-dresses, suits in lighter fabrics, kilts, blazers, vests, jackets optional (but you may want them after the sun goes down). No shorts, please. Hats and sunglasses welcome (but please be respectful of folks seated behind you during the ceremony). Flat shoes or block heels are recommended. There is not a wedding party but Michael's suit will be forest green, so please avoid that. Otherwise we're not picky! (The decor colors, since folks keep asking, will be dusky blue, peach, sage, and ivory.)
