We met in high school in the fall of 1997, but barely spoke to one another until 2015, when we reconnected in New England.

In September 2020, we got married outside in Ellen's parents' back yard under a giant grove of oak trees. With 23 guests in attendance (according to MN state law at the time), it was intimate, sunny, and beautiful. Although we wish we could have shared it with more family and friends, we wouldn't have changed a thing.

On December 12, 2021, our son Kaito was born. He's the best, and Matcha doesn't mind him.
