One of the main ways that Salwan and Elizabeth express their love for each other is by embarking on adventures (ones that are often foreign to one of them) together. This began on their second date, which consisted of them running up to the top of Cragmont Park in the Berkeley Hills.
Ever since meeting at UC Berkeley as graduate students, they have also expressed their love for each other by constantly supporting one another. A PhD is a deeply rewarding yet incredibly challenging undertaking. Salwan and Elizabeth have been fortunate to have each other's support during graduate school, and they can't wait to continue this journey together forever.

In the one above, they are pictured at San Francisco's Mission Dolores Park (the site of their third date) shortly after Salwan proposed to Elizabeth.
Their love for each other grew stronger as they spent more time together in the outdoors. One of their favorite places is Yosemite National Park. Here they are on top of the El Capitan hike.
Salwan and Elizabeth communicate their love by supporting each other. Here's a prime example of Elizabeth supporting Salwan as he struggled to put ski boots on for the first time in his life.
After watching Salwan fall in love with the sport of cycling, Elizabeth decided to get a bike herself to see what the fuss is about. Here they are at Grizzly Peak in the Berkeley Hills.
They manage to have a blast skiing together despite an orders of magnitude difference in skill levels. If that's not love, I don't know what is.
