Travel

We recommend flying into and out of the Colorado Springs Airport (COS), if you are able. Denver International Airport (DIA) is consistently a hassle and known for delays, long security lines, and conspiracy theories. While still our preference for air travel, please note that if you fly into COS you will likely have a layover. Most of our traveling family and friends are coming from CA, with that said, we recommend flying Southwest out of Sacramento or Oakland. I have been told that starting April of 2026 Santa Rosa will offer direct flights to Denver if you would prefer to go that route. Research has told me that Tuesdays are the best days to book air travel for the best prices and early morning travel gives you the best chances at on-time departures. Rental cars are available at both COS and DIA. We recommend staying at hotels/airbnbs in the downtown CO Springs area. Traveling can be stressful, so we thank you all for putting up with it for us.
