Garden of the Gods is an absolute must for all visitors. It is completely free and only 20 minutes from downtown Colorado Springs. You can walk through the giant rock formations or you can drive through. Both are amazing options that don't skimp on the views.
The Broadmoor is one of the most famous hotels in Colorado. Probably second to only The Stanley. If you have the chance, take the time to explore the grounds. Pay to park, but entry is free to the public. There are many bars and restaurants within The Broadmoor that are amazing. However, these experiences are typically a higher price point.
The Cog Railway runs to the top of Pikes Peak. A truly unique and beautiful experience. Keep in mind, Pikes Peak sits at an elevation of over 14,000-ft. This is elevation can be challenging on people who live here, so be sure to take precautions to avoid altitude sickness.
If you want a very unique dining experience, check out the Rabbit Hole. Be ready to go underground into an eclectic, moody, Alice in Wonderland themed restaurant. The food is just as good as the vibe. Budget approximately $50 per person.
If you're a nerd, like us, you're in luck. Our wedding weekend happens to also be the opening weekend for the Colorado Ren Fair. It is about 40 minutes out of Colorado Springs in Larkspur, but it is such an awesome experience. Online tickets sell quickly, but you can typically buy tickets on-site. Don't take my word for it, though. Do your research lol
The Royal Gorge is a bit of trek out of Colorado Springs, but if it is within your schedule it is definitely worth the drive. It is the highest suspension bridge in the country offering gondola rides and ziplines. It will require lots of walking, some flat and some incline.
Perfect place to walk and window shop. Plenty of cute boutiques, coffee shops, and more.
An amazing option if you're just looking to get outside and kill time with some locals.
One of our favorite coffee shops. Stop in and grab their "inverso latte."
Another favorite for coffee. I am a firm believer they have the best matcha in town. My favorite is an "iced oat milk matcha latte, half vanilla and half honey."
