There's a popular hop-on hop-off double-decker bus that you can ride through Brighton to all of the famous hot spots. There's a stop right outside of the hotel (#2 King's Road), so it's convenient to grab a bus there and ride along the route through the various stops in Brighton.

Probably the nicest public golf course near the Grand Brighton. Green fees are £32 for weekday and £36 for weekend. If you wanted to venture further out and play a British Open Course, the nearest courses are on the east coast (Royal St. George's, Prince's, and Royal Cinque Ports). Unfortunately, there's no convenient way to get there by bus/train, so you'd likely have to rent a car.
