We met only three weeks after I moved to Denver! Somehow dating apps actually worked... We started at brewery (I neglected to tell him I don't like beer, whoops) and made our way to a second bar for drinks. Well Covid derailed the first attempt but that's another story... In the winter time, the Denver Zoo has a beautiful lights display. I had remembered us talking about going earlier in the season and knew it would be a perfect place to pop the question. I knew she was already suspicious of planned outings so I was careful to keep my intentions hidden until a couple hours beforehand. I invited Elizabeth's parents along to reduce suspicion. I recruited Maria to help me find the perfect spot. We took a path less travelled and I decided it was secluded enough to be our spot away from the crowds. I asked her there on one knee. She obviously said yes or you wouldn't be reading this. :) -Patrick
