The Long Beach Catalina Express is the closest and fastest option from Los Angeles or LAX, while offering the most departure times. The ferry ride to the island is a little over an hour. Be sure to book your ferry tickets as soon as possible, as the ferry does get fully booked.

For those local to Newport Beach or flying into John Wayne, the Catalina Flyer is the best ferry option to get to the island. Be sure to book your ferry tickets as soon as possible, as the ferry does get fully booked. They also have a bar on board, so feel free to get the party started on the way!
