We ask that you come to the wedding dressed in your best black-tie attire. Both Elisa and Hunter love to dress up for formal occasions and we are excited for our wedding day to be an opportunity for our loved ones to look their best. We ask that men wear a tuxedo or a dark-colored suit (tuxedo preferred) and women wear a floor-length formal gown. However, black tie does not mean women are restricted to only black dresses; color, patterns, sequins, etc. are encouraged. Of course, we are requesting women avoid any solid champagne, off-white, ivory or white gowns.
Yes! We will be reserving a room block at The Drake for our wedding guests. We’re currently coordinating the details and expect to share booking information on our website approximately 10–11 months before the big day. If you anticipate staying at the hotel and would like to be included in the room block count, please let us know. We’ll be happy to send the reservation details your way as soon as they become available.
The ceremony will begin punctually at 5 o'clock in the evening. We recommend guests arrive any time between 4:30 and 4:45pm to ensure you have plenty of time to find your seat and settle in. Unfortunately, the church does not allow late arrivals into the service. Please plan accordingly.
Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your invitation. Your save the date and invitation will be made out to "(Your Name) & (Significant Other's Name)" if a plus one has been given to you. Thank you for understanding!
While we love all of the children in our lives, we have decided to make this a mostly adults only celebration. We will only be able to accommodate those children listed on your invitation. If you have any questions or need assistance finding childcare in Chicago, please do not hesitate to reach out. Enjoy a night off and come ready to party!
Official RSVP instructions, including a paper RSVP to mail back to us, will be sent out with your formal invitation. But, if you know you will be attending and would like to start planning your trip to Chicago now, feel free to let either of us know.
An RSVP deadline will be provided within your formal invitation. If you do not RSVP by that date, you will be marked as "not attending." We would love to celebrate with you, however, we have to provide an exact guest count to our vendors after that date and cannot accept late RSVPs as there will not be a seat, meal, or drink accommodations for you.
Of course, the Drake staff is phenomenal and has been accommodating all guests since 1920. We will provide a section for these accommodations when you RSVP, but to ensure we are aware, please reach out to us with any food concerns prior.
