Travel Note
There are a few other (and cheaper) options to stay in Pravets and in Botevgrad (the two towns are 10 km/ 6 mi apart). 1. Complex Praveshki Hanove (£200 for the 4 nights) via booking.com (they have 18 rooms ) 2. Pravets Spa Resort Apartments (£270 + for the 4 nights) limited availability via booking.com 3. Hotel Balkan in Botevgrad (£ 125 for the 4 nights) via booking.com (they have 40 rooms) As a very, very last resort, there is Hotel Pravets Palace which is very cheap (£111 for the four nights). It is right in the city centre of Pravets, it is very clean but please bear in mind it is not in a great condition as it has not been renovated for the last 15 or so years! Stay here for a true ("luxury") communist experience but make sure you pack painkillers too!
