The Larcomar is a large indoor and outdoor shopping center directly across the street from the Marriott. It includes a cinema, bowling lanes, a food court, museum, tourist shops, Tony Roma's, T.G.I. Friday's, and Chili's restaurants, book stores, clothing stores, and electronics stores.
If you want a beach day, we recommend heading to either Playa Waikki, Playa Makaha, and/or Playa Redondo. They are all about a 20-minute walk from the hotels and are rocky beaches where you can enjoy some sun! For safety purposes, we recommend not to go further south than Playa Redondo.
Parque Kennedy, the unofficial main square of Lima, sits at the center of the Miraflores district surrounded by top restaurants, cafes, and shops. If you love cats, this park has become a natural shelter for dozens of friendly cats and kittens who freely roam around the park. There are also street food carts with butifarras (pork sandwiches), picarones (Peruvian style donuts), and combinado (purple corn and rice pudding) within the park.
If there is one thing to do in Miraflores Lima, it is to stroll down the ~6-mile long malecón, an elevated walkway situated above the dramatic cliffs overlooking the stunning Pacific Ocean. Sometimes also referred to as the Costa Verde, this path is one of the most popular places in Lima due to its wide stretches of green spaces, calm atmosphere, and surreal sunsets.
A huge market with anything from alpaca sweaters to hats to t-shirts to other miscellaneous crafts, the Miraflores Indian Market is the perfect place to see what the local craft scene is like. If you are looking to purchase some souvenirs, this is the perfect place to do so. There are similar stores within the same block or two you can also check out.
Located in the heart of the Miraflores district is one of the oldest archaeological sites in Peru – Huaca Pucllana. This pre-Inca run features a great adobe and clay pyramid made from seven staggered platforms and was once the administrative center of the Lima culture indigenous group.
If you've watched Netflix's "Chef's Table," this is Peruvian chef, Virgilio Martínez Véliz, famed restaurant that holds the enviable title of The World's Best Restaurant of 2023". It is known for its modern and contemporary interpretation of Peruvian cuisine that puts an avant-garde spin on the country's native ingredients, elevating them to new heights. If you want to try this restaurant we highly recommend making reservations as much in advance as possible.
A fun food hall with different restaurants all having their own stalls. In the middle, you'll find a bar and tables where you can order drinks and sit and eat with your friends. The best part is that everyone can order the food they prefer, ranging from sushi and ceviche to noodles, hamburgers and grilled chicken, and still eat together.
A very traditional spot in Miraflores, Pasteleria San Antonio has become famous in Lima due to its excellent pastries and sandwiches: almost any kind of dessert (cakes, pies, chocolates, etc.) and fruit juices can be found here, and if you are a coffee lover you can enjoy here of some good options in Peruvian specialty coffees.
Here you can eat traditional Peruvian Dishes, but they also have a wide variety of salads. Their Lomo Saltado is one of the best you will find in Peru and Tanta is also known for their wide assortment of desserts, which they will present to you on a big serving plate at your table.
Right on the main floor of the Marriott, this is a great place for smoothies and acai bowls for breakfast or to grab and go exploring!
