Things To Do

Sagrada Família

Sagrada Família

Barcelona, Spain

The Sagrada Família is the largest, unfinished Catholic Church in the world - designed by Antoni Gaudí. Construction began in March 1882 and by the time of Gaudi's death in 1926, less than a quarter of the project was complete. This year (Feb 2026), the basilica reached its final height of 172.5 meters (566 ft), 144 years later. The basilica is unlike anything we've ever seen before and being able to visit over the years and see it change (2018, 2025, 2026) has been an incredible experience! We strongly recommend booking tickets ahead of time, especially if you want to go up one of the two towers.

Casa Batlló

Casa Batlló

Barcelona, Spain

Antoni Gaudi's only 100% Modernist work inspired by the Mediterranean Sea and filled with unique designs and clever engineering details. Definitely on our top 5 sites to see in Barcelona. During the summer they run a series of evening concerts called "Magical Nights" where you can tour the house in the evening, enjoy a glass of Cava, and attend a rooftop concert. We went to the last show of the season in 2025 and it was one of our favorite parts of the trip! We strongly recommend buying tickets in advance.

Park Güell

Park Güell

Barcelona, Spain

Park Güell is a complex of parks and gardens with architectural elements, located in the La Salut neighborhood of the Gràcia district in Barcelona, Spain. Catalan industrialist and art patron, Eusebi Güell commissioned Antoni Gaudí to design the park which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets online ahead of time.

Mercat de la Boqueria

Mercat de la Boqueria

Famous, indoor public market with meat, produce, cheese, & seafood in a bustling space. Check out the seafood stands where you can purchase whole, live sea urchins that are cracked and cleaned for you right there!

Montserrat

Montserrat

Spain

Montserrat is a mountain range located about 45 km northwest of Barcelona. Known for its jagged "sawtooth" rock formations, this area is home to the Montserrat Monastery, the sacred Black Madonna, and hiking trails with breathtaking views. A gorgeous area to explore for the day and see incredible views.
