Cox Farms
Our wedding weekend coincides with the final weekend of Cox Farms' famous fall festival! That means Pumpkin Madness: an event where they destroy their surplus pumpkin stock! The fall festival features hayrides, a corn maze, slides, live music, and all kinds of zany fun.
The Auld Shebeen
This Irish pub is also a fun spot for karaoke and live music!
Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts
The only National Park for the Performing Arts! Their famous outdoor theatre might not be operating in November, but you can still catch an indoor show or roam the ground!
Great Falls Park
This park, operated by the National Park Service, is especially gorgeous in the fall as the leaves change color! Choose from several hiking trails and get a great view of the Potomac River, ruins of an old canal, and the, you know, great waterfalls.
The Smithsonian
How could you visit Northern Virginia without venturing into DC? The Vienna/Fairfax metro stop will take you into the city and you can explore countless FREE museums and gorgeous monuments at your leisure!
George Washington's Mount Vernon
Everyone should visit Mount Vernon at least once in their lives. In addition to the historic mansion, there's a great museum and interpretive center, expansive grounds (with live animals)!, and even a nice restaurant.
Old Town Alexandria Waterfront
This beautiful historic area is a great place to dine, shop, and sightsee!
