There is no parking available at the Old Town Hall, but there is abundant free parking around downtown Fairfax that's only a short walk to the venue. Here's a handy map of parking in the area! https://bit.ly/3abOmg0
Yes, kids are invited and we'd love to have them there, but we trust your judgment on whether you want to bring them or not! Please keep a close eye on small children if you choose to bring them as the event takes place in a 120-year-old historic building with active construction ongoing and steps away from a busy street. We don't mind if little ones make interjections during the ceremony or go crazy on the dance floor during the first dance, though-- just their safety! The upstairs ceremony space will be open during the reception, too, as a quiet space for anyone, kids or adults, who need a break. PS. A reminder that all guests, including children and infants need to submit evidence of COVID-19 vaccination.
The COVID-19 pandemic is an ever-changing situation. We will continue to stay on top of official recommendations as the wedding date approaches and update our safety measures accordingly. Please submit proof of vaccination for everyone in the party (including children and infants) to Megan on Facebook or to Jeff's email address (je7845a@gmail.com). Masks are currently not required, but use your own judgment to assess your risks. Please don't attend the wedding if you've tested positive for COVID-19 or have symptoms of the virus-- we'll miss you very much and catch up with you soon!
Heck yes! We'll make a request form available closer to the date. But if it's a ridiculous meme song... it's probably already on the playlist.
Yes! The whole wedding will take place at the Old Town Hall in Fairfax. The ceremony will take place upstairs and guests will head downstairs for the reception afterwards. The venue has elevators as well as staircases and is wheelchair accessible. There is construction ongoing at the Old Town Hall and the front entrance is currently off-limits. Guests can enter through the back (and get a sneak peek of the reception space in the process).
Yep, see the previous question for more details! Don't worry, it's still open! The front entrance of the venue is off-limits, but all the good stuff-- the ceremony area and reception space-- is untouched.
Dinner will be served buffet style, so you don't need to order anything in advance. We'll be having a Greek-inspired menu! The menu options may slightly change before the wedding, but the dinner buffet currently includes: Stuffed leg of lamb Chicken souvlaki Vegetarian souvlaki Greek salad Rice pilaf Roast vegetables Bread Plus a few hors d'oeuvres before the dinner buffet opens... and some wedding cake afterward! There will be a limited bar available before and during the reception.
