Virginia weather is up and down, especially in October. We recommend you plan for anything from 40 degrees- 80 degrees. The average temp is 70 in October in Yorktown. it will likely be around 70, but bring a jacket if its cold, bring some light clothing if it gets hot.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

3 PM to park and get situated. You must be seated before 4 PM. Ceremony will start promptly at 4 PM.

How big of a city is Historic Yorktown?

Answer

Historic Yorktown is a very small city. There is a cute boardwalk with shops, restaurants, and a beach. This is one street. You will love it, as it has a historic and peaceful feel- but know that if you are looking for big city accommodations like a Walmart or Starbucks, you will need to leave this small town. The larger towns arent far (10-20 minutes), but just be aware.
