Mountain Top has lots of amenities available exclusively for overnight guests: a heated outdoor pool, private beach, boats, tennis & volleyball courts, disc golf and lawn games. Overnight guests and those staying elsewhere can also book separate activities, like time at the spa, horseback riding, fishing, clay bird shooting or golf.
New England Maple Museum
A 15 minute drive away from the Mountaintop Inn, The New England Maple Museum exhibits include the most complete collection of maple sugaring artifacts in existence, as well as dioramas and a short film! Afterwards, enjoy a sampling of delicious maple syrup.
Rutland Farmers Market
From farm fresh veggies and fruits to artisan cheeses, handcrafted breads, maple syrup, Vermont crafts and more, the Downtown Farmers’ Market is a great nearby shopping option (about 20 minutes away) — especially for those staying in houses at Mountain Top!
Long Trail Brewing Company
Visit the brewery and brew pub for outside dining and beers on the deck, patio and riverside! While a longer drive away (about 40 minutes) the brewery is a fun option if you're interested in seeing the nearby sights!
Killington Adventure Center
The Snowshed Adventure Center has something for everyone: zip line through the Beast Mountain Coaster, test your balance and mental strength in the Skye Ropes Course, or meander your way through the Amaze'n Maze. The adventure awaits just 25 minutes away from Mountain Top!
Billings Farm & Museum
Head to Billings Farm to wander the sunflower field, visit the gift shop (with lots of Vermont products) and meet some cows! This one is a bit of a trek — about an hour from Mountain Top — but is a fun option if you're looking for a full day exploring southern VT.
Hathaway Farm & Corn Maze
At Hathaway Farm & Corn Maze you can find maple syrup, cows and a corn maze that is ranked #2 in the nation! There is a new maze created every year with a unique theme. The farm is a quick 15 minutes from Mountain Top.
