Question

Where and when is your wedding?

Answer

We're getting married on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Mountain Top Inn & Resort in Chittenden, VT! Since we're getting married on the early side (noon) on the 16th, we suggest that guests arrive the night before, on August 15.

When should I RSVP?

Answer

We're planning to send out invites in early 2022 and request that all guests send in their replies by June 16, 2022 at the latest.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Daytime semi-formal. For men that means a full suit or slacks with a blazer/suit coat and a tie. For women we recommend summer dresses or jumpsuits. Our venue includes a bit of walking over gravel and grass, so for shoes we'd recommend wedges or flats! We're going to be on the top of a mountain — bring a shawl or sweater just in case the wind picks up.

What is August like in Vermont?

Answer

August is usually hot in Vermont, but keep in mind that we'll be on top of a mountain and the evenings get chilly. We'd recommend packing a warm shawl, sweater / sweatshirt or jacket. (Plus a raincoat / umbrella just in case!)

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Mountain Top has a central parking lot near the lobby / reception area and another lot by the ceremony site.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Erik and I have a bunch of dietary restrictions ourselves. Please let us know how we can help as soon as you're able.

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes! Where you stay is, of course, totally up to you, but we love the option to rent a full house at Mountain Top, especially for those with kids.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes! If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We're going for an unplugged ceremony! Our photographer will be capturing all of the magic of the ceremony, don't worry! Please feel free to take photos during the reception, though.

What should we do after your wedding?

Answer

Mountain Top has many summer amenities available exclusively for overnight guests: a heated outdoor pool, private beach, boats, tennis & volleyball courts, disc golf and lawn games. Overnight guests and those staying elsewhere can also book separate activities, like horseback riding, fishing, clay bird shooting or golf. Can we come up early / stay late to enjoy a longer vacation?

Absolutely, sounds awesome! Please note: we'll only have the 30% discount on room prices at Mountain Top for Monday - Thursday timing.

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

Not at this time, but please check back!

What health and safety measures will you be taking during the event?

Answer

We are requiring that all guests are vaccinated in order to attend our event. We'll be sharing more information via email as we get closer to our event and we know more about the state of the world.
