Overbury Farm Resort

This is the venue of the wedding weekend extravaganza! IF YOU ARE INTENDING TO STAY HERE THEN BOOK THROUGH US (Kyle & Rachel). AT THIS TIME, ALL CABINS ARE BOOKED. We will have full reign of the resort from Friday to Sunday which means that we are entitled to all accommodations available. Overbury can sleep up to 65 guests. As there are limited cottages, we will be assigning groups to cottages for those who intend to stay at Overbury. We will be in close communication with those people. Guests staying there must bring own sleeping bag/bedding (mattress, pillow & fitted sheet provided) and towel/s. The cost is $35/adult/night ($20 for children) with a minimum cabin charge of $100 (+ 15% PST & GST). Please email rmledey@live.ca letting us know if you would like your group to stay in a Rustic Cottage. We need to provide the Overbury accommodation list to the owners at least 1 month before the wedding.

A block of rooms has been set aside for "Moss Wedding" at a discounted rate for the nights of June 28th-30th. Be sure to quote that when booking in person/ by phone! Otherwise follow the link for you to get the Moss Wedding rate online. ROOMS MUST BE BOOKED BY MAY 28TH 2019 IN ORDER TO GET THIS REDUCED RATE. All room bookings included complimentary hot buffet breakfast, parking, wifi, and access to pool and fitness facilities! The hotel is located an easy 7 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the ferry to Thetis Island.

For those who are avoiding ferries and are traveling from Vancouver/ the Mainland, there are 3 flights to and from Thetis Island daily. Check out the website for details! Tickets are approximately $125 each way. Book online and save $5.00 on a one-way fare and $10.00 on a return fare. The terminal is about a 25 minute walk to Overbury.

Pending your accommodations, the Nanaimo airport is located a convenient: -20 minute drive to and from Chemainus (where the ferry to Thetis Island and Best Western are) -20 minute drive to Nanaimo -30 to 45 minute drive to Duncan or Cobble Hill

Water Taxi from Thetis Island to Chemainus

For those who want to keep the celebration going after the last ferry (9:20pm), there is a complimentary water taxi available to take you back to Chemainus. Please let us know if you intend on using this service as space is limited. The water taxi will be departing at ~11pm. Pick up at the Community Dock on Thetis and drop off at the Municipal Dock (next to BC Ferries dock) in Chemainus.

Ferry Information- Thetis Island

The ferry trip is about 30-45 minutes in duration pending if there is a layover on Penelakut Island. Car space is rather limited on this small ferry so carpooling is definitely encouraged! OR you can park in Chemainus and walk on. The Thetis Island ferry terminal is about a 10 minute walk to Overbury. Unfortunately reservations aren't available for this route.
