When do I need to RSVP by?

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your + 1 is listed under this website's RSVP then yes, if not, we would strongly prefer if it was just you as the numbers are tight! Else you will have the wrath of Rachel to deal with.

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Of course! However, we would also love for our wedding to be your night off too! Whatever you prefer, really. Please note that we will not be providing child care/ babysitting services.

Are animals allowed?

Unfortunately, no furry friends of any size are allowed at the venue.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail or dressy casual for all the formal events, please. What does this mean? For women: cocktail dress, nice summer dress, dressy pants and blouse, etc. For men: suit or dress pants with a button down shirt (with or without a tie) or polo shirt. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose! P.S. the venue consists of a meadow, beach, cobblestones, and uneven terrain (outside the pavilion) so you may want to think twice about heels (especially non-wedges), ladies!

How do I get to and from Thetis Island? Where should I stay?

I want to celebrate until the end but my accomodation is off Thetis, what are my options?

Answer

The LAST ferry from Thetis to Chemainus will be at around 9:20pm on Saturday (NOTE that the ferry schedule is changing after March 31st/19) HOWEVER, do not fret, we have hired a water taxi to take our party hardy guests back to Chemainus after the last ferry has left! We will also be providing a shuttle service to assist guests back to their off-site accomodation (on Thetis) and to the water taxi. Please see the Travel section for more details.

What will the "bar" situation be like?

OPEN BAR at the reception!!! Honeymoon donations are welcomed but are by no means expected. We will endeavor to serve up a crowd-pleasing assortment of wine, beer, cider, coolers, and other pre-mixed-drinks-in-a-can. That's right Moss people: there will be NO Crown (or any other bottles of hard bar). You have been warned. Rioting and/or looting will not be tolerated. BYOB for the Welcome BBQ.

What is the food situation like?

Answer

We will be supplying pretty simple (e.g. burgers, wraps, sandwiches, salads, etc.) but delicious meals outside the wedding reception (which we will also be supplying but it will be more fancy dancy). If you want something in particular then you are responsible for bringing it yourself. Be sure to do your shopping off Thetis Island as there is NO GROCERY STORE on the island.... The island is tiny. However there is a pub and some sort of pizza delivery situation... Just a FYI.

Is there appropriate seating options for our infants/toddlers?

Answer

We suggest that you bring your own high chair or booster seat as the venue will only have 1-2 available.
