How long is the drive to the reception site?

Answer

The drive takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. We will provide help with directions in the wedding program.

Should I stay closer to the church or the reception venue?

Answer

We recommend staying closer to St. Rita Church, as there are more options for hotels and Airbnbs in that area. However, we will provide options for both! If you are worried about the drive back to Alexandria after the reception and would rather Uber, you can leave your car at St. Francis Hall overnight and get it in the morning.

Is there parking at both venues?

Answer

Yes! There is ample parking at both St. Rita's and St. Francis Hall. The lot at St. Francis is behind the building, with plenty of spaces, a rare phenomenon in DC! You may also leave your car at St. Francis Hall overnight if that is convenient.

If I'm not Catholic, can I still go to the Mass?

Answer

Of course! We would love to see you all at our wedding mass. We only request that if you are not Catholic or not practicing, that you refrain from receiving Holy Communion.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The recommended attire for our wedding is summer formal. We also ask that you dress respectfully for the Wedding Mass in church.
