FAQs

Everything You Need to Know We’ve gathered answers to the most common questions to help you plan your trip and enjoy the weekend with us.
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal attire is requested. For gentlemen, we suggest a suit or tailored dress pants paired with a crisp button-down shirt and a blazer. While a tie adds a polished touch, it's optional. Complete your look with classic dress shoes like loafers or oxfords. Ladies can choose from chic cocktail dresses, sophisticated midi or dressy maxi lengths, elegant jumpsuits, or stylish dressy separates. Pair your ensemble with heels, wedges, or dressy flats for a refined appearance. If you’d like, feel free to add a touch of Western country chic or Montana flair! Cowboy boots and hats are always welcome. Given our venue's outdoor elements, we recommend practical footwear and bringing a light layer for potential evening coolness. As a courtesy to our wedding party, we kindly ask guests to avoid wearing white, olive/hunter green, or rust/terracotta.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We've thoughtfully curated our wedding guest list to create an intimate and meaningful celebration. If a plus one has been extended to you, your invitation will be specifically addressed to "(Your Name) & Guest Name". Only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. We appreciate your understanding as we aim to keep our special day personal and intentional.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your children, we have chosen to make our wedding an adults-only celebration, allowing our guests to fully enjoy an uninterrupted evening.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

All guests should stay at Grouse Mountain Lodge, which is where the wedding ceremony and reception will take place. Please see the travel page on our website for further details.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly suggest arriving at the ceremony venue by 3:30pm. This will ensure you have plenty of time to comfortably find your seat and settle in before our ceremony begins precisely at 4:00pm.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, Grouse Mountain Lodge offers convenient parking for our ceremony and reception. To make your travel even easier, we're providing complimentary roundtrip transportation from the airport and a shuttle service to downtown Whitefish, so you won't need to worry about driving during your stay with us.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we're excited to offer an open bar for all our guests to enjoy throughout the celebration. Our bar will feature a selection of wine and beer, along with signature cocktails crafted especially for the bride and groom.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, we are happy to accommodate most food allergies and dietary restrictions. Please ensure you let us know in advance.

Question

How should I RSVP?

Answer

Simply visit our RSVP page and complete your response by Friday, August 14. Please note that guests who do not RSVP by the deadline will be considered unable to attend. While we truly hope to celebrate with you, we must provide an exact guest count to our vendors and cannot accommodate late responses. Thank you for your prompt attention!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We invite you to be fully present during our ceremony — please silence your devices and refrain from taking photos. Don’t worry, we’ll share all the beautiful pictures soon! Feel free to snap away during the reception and join in the fun!

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

If rain interrupts our outdoor plans, our ceremony will seamlessly transition indoors at Grouse Mountain Lodge, ensuring a beautiful celebration regardless of the weather.

Question

Will there be another opportunity to celebrate if I can’t attend the wedding?

Answer

Yes! If you are unable to attend the wedding, we will also be hosting a close-to-home reception in Montgomery, Texas, on Saturday, November 14, 2026. Evites with additional details will be sent at a later date. You are also more than welcome to join us for the Montgomery reception even if you are able to attend the wedding.
