A trolley will transport guests from the Anchorage Inn on Long Sands Beach to the Reading Room. The trolley can accommodate 34 people per trip. The pick up times at the anchorage hotel will be 3:50 pm and a second run will go at 4:10 pm. The pick up will be at the front office of the hotel. The trolley will make multiple runs from 11 pm- 11:45 pm to take guests back at the end of the night. Please note, if you choose to stay at another hotel or home rental that is within walking distance to this hotel, you can hop on the trolley. If you are not staying at the anchorage and would like to use the trolley we recommend walking to the hotel for a ride or parking your car along the beach near this hotel. There is metered parking on long sands beach until 10 pm that can be paid by credit card.

Boston Logan International Airport

Boston will most likely be the most affordable airport to fly into. It is roughly a 65-70 mile drive to York, ME from the airport and will take about an hour and fifteen minutes driving without traffic.

Portland International Jetport

Portland, ME is another option to consider for flights. York, ME is only about 40 miles from Portland, there is often less traffic in this city and the drive is roughly 40 minutes.

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport

Another option to consider is flying into Manchester, NH. This is a smaller airport, about 55 miles from York, ME and an hour drive.

Since we are getting married in September, you have the option of doing a home rental at a nightly rate. Most houses seem to have a three night minimum. We recommend looking in York Harbor, ME and finding out if you are within walking distance to the venue. Transportation is very limited as this is a small town. Another option would be renting a home on Long Sands Beach close to the Anchorage Inn and walking to this hotel for Trolley transportation.

The York Harbor Inn family of Inns is comprised of six separate lodges. The Main Inn offers 22 Guest rooms and is across the street from our venue. Room rate includes expanded Continental Breakfast including House-made Pastries, Granola, Fresh Fruit, Hard Boiled Eggs, Herbal Teas, Coffee, Juices & Chef's own Hive Honey. The other properties are not quire as close, but also within walking distance to the venue.

This hotel is on Long Sands Beach. We will provide trolley transportation to and from the wedding from this hotel. Rooms starting at $164.00 per night. There is a hotel block in the Main Hotel Building under McGarry/LaTorra Wedding, but feel free to also book outside the block as there are suite options available as well.
