What are the transportation options in the area like?

Answer

Uber and Lyft are limited, but available. The Chamber of Commerce states that it can take more time than a larger city to obtain a ride. There is also a taxi company in the town called York Beach Taxi Company, (207) 216-0032. The town is very small and easy to navigate by car as well.

Will there be a shuttle to/from the hotels?

Answer

We have booked a trolley to/from the Anchorage on Long Sands Beach. Please see the travel tab for more information. If you are not staying at the anchorage and would like to use the trolley we recommend walking to the hotel for a ride or parking your car along the beach near this hotel. There is metered parking on long sands beach until 10 pm that can be paid by credit card.

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be your night off! Please reach out to us if you would like us to find a babysitter for you! Of course, if you have an newborn, we can make exceptions. Thank you for understanding.

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Is there a grocery store in town?

Answer

Yes, this is a small town and there is only one store in York- Hannaford Supermarket.

Do you have a liquor store recommendation?

Answer

If you are flying in from Boston and driving to Maine, we would recommend you stock up at the NH Liquor & Wine Outlet in Hampton, NH. This will have a wide selection, is right off the highway and is tax free. The grocery stores in Maine also sell beer, wine and liquor.
