Things To Do

While you pretty much can't go wrong grabbing a bite to eat/a cup of coffee at any local establishment, below are some of our favorites. P.S. We also listed a couple of hiking trails/special attractions if you want to do more than eat while you're here.

Delft Bistro

139 West Washington Street, Marquette, MI 49855
, (906) 273-2455

One of our favorite restaurants in Marquette. We HIGHLY recommend the poutine and the loaded Brussel sprouts - and their brunch menu is full of unique and trendy options.

Togo's Marquette's Original Submarine Sandwich

1000 North 3rd Street, Marquette, MI 49855
, (906) 226-6535

Looking for a quick bite or palette cleanser? Togo's is Lucas's favorite sandwich shop. "The Classic Italian" is his favorite sub of all-time.

Lagniappe Cajun Creole Eatery

145 Jackson Cut Aly, Marquette, MI 49855
, (906) 226-8200

A favorite of Lucas' family - every time they visit, we always end up here! Pronounced LON-YAP, they serve cajun creole cuisine that's different from anything else in Marquette.

The Vierling Restaurant & Marquette Harbor Brewery

119 South Front Street, Marquette, MI 49855
, (906) 228-3533

The Vierling has the best and freshest seafood in Marquette, but pretty much everything on their menu is top-notch. They also brew their own beer - the Blueberry Wheat is Alyssa's dad's favorite!

231 West Patisserie

231 West Washington Street, Marquette, MI 49855
, (906) 273-0100

Craving a sweet treat or warm tea/coffee? Want a cool backdrop to spice up your Instagram feed? 231 West Patisserie is the place for you! Their macarons are our favorite.

Remies Bar

111 South 3rd Street, Marquette, MI 49855
, (906) 226-9133

A Marquette staple, with an extensive drink menu. From domestic and local brews to mixed drinks served in 32 oz. cups, you'll definitely find something to sip on!

Mount Marquette Loop

Cliff Power Road, Marquette, MI 49855

The Mount Marquette Overlook has one of the best views of Marquette. You can hike or drive this trail (if you have four-wheel drive, of course). Fun fact: this is where Lucas asked Alyssa to "go steady" (yes, he used those exact words).

Presque Isle Park

Peter White Drive, Marquette, MI 49855
, (906) 228-0460

One of our favorite places to enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior. Weather-depending, you can drive on the nature trail, or you can get out and walk. If snow is in the forecast, pack your winter boots - the trail is beautiful year-round.

Marquette Regional History Center

145 West Spring Street, Marquette, MI 49855
, (906) 226-3571

We have gone on many dates to the Marquette Regional History Center - great to learn about the history of the U.P., especially if you've never been! Fun fact: we almost chose this as our wedding venue.

Marquette Cinemas

1525 Commerce Drive, Marquette, MI 49855
, (906) 273-2530

Want to see the place where Lucas *almost* proposed, while also catching a movie? Another bonus - if the weather is frightful, the movie theater will certainly keep you warm, dry and entertained!

For all the days along the way
