Tucked in the backdrop of beautiful North Table Mountain, New Terrain is not only one of the best breweries around, but they are Andrew's employers! Highlights include a mountain bike track, dog park, 2 taprooms, massive outdoor seating, live music, & rotating food trucks, this is a must-visit spot while in CO.
Bonfire Burritos
Some of THE best breakfast & regular burritos around! With a few locations all around, the Golden location is above & there is also one in Olde Town Arvada.
The Golden Mill
2 story food hall in downtown Golden overlooking Clear Creek--a great spot for self-serve drinks & your choice of different food vendors!
Illegal Pete's
Our favorite Mexican place in Colorado--Illegal Pete's has locations all over, but the Northside location is about 10 minutes from us. The Wheat Ridge or downtown Denver locations might also be closer based on where you are staying. They have burritos/bowls, tacos, quesadillas, taquitos, Colorado signature pork green chili, & the best margaritas around. They are locally-sourced & are huge supporters of the local music scene. BONUS--they serve breakfast 10 am-1 pm Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays.. one of our favorite spots to grab a breakfast bowl or burrito on the weekends!

A favorite in the Berkeley neighborhood of Denver, Hops & Pie specializes in Detroit Style pizza as well as amazing local beers on draft.

Pastries, pies, & coffees--oh my! This Berkeley staple is a must-visit for your some sweet & savory treats to accompany your caffeine fix.
Blackbelly Market & Restaurant
If you're looking for an out-of-this-world deli sandwich, breakfast burrito, or burger--look no further! Blackbelly Market has locations in Boulder (market/deli & restaurant) & Denver (market/deli) at 4324 W 41st Avenue. Powered by a Michelan-star butcher, you will not regret grabbing a bite at either location!

Tucked in downtown Golden, this is a beautiful space with excellent food, drinks, & staff walkable to many other local shops, boutiques, dives, & restaurants.
Woody's Wood-Fired Pizza
Pizza Buffet with amazing wings & a salad bar--so so good!
King of Wings
Andrew's favorite local wing spot & watering hole, King of Wings has locations in Golden & in Wheat Ridge close by to our house. One of our most-frequented places!
Improper City
A coffee shop, a bar, food trucks, workspaces, & great indoor/outdoor seating, Improper City is another RiNo (River North) art district fave in NW Denver.
The Marigold
A plant shop meets cocktail bar in Five Points neighborhood (near RiNo), this has some of the best cocktails in an artsy aesthetic & the coolest atmosphere. Bonus--rooftop patio!
Gold Point
Another great spot to grab a cocktail, beer, or late night eats--Gold Point is tucked in RiNo art district & offers a dive-y aesthetic with indoor & outdoor seating. We highly recommend!
Our Mutual Friend Brewing & Pitt Fiend Barbecue
One of the first breweries we visited/loved, OMF is located in the RiNo (River North) art district in NW Denver. This craft brewery is front of Pit Fiend Barbecue, so this is a great spot to grab a beer, then order some delicious smoked bbq & eat it at the brewery. Walkable to a ton of other amazing shops, breweries, restaurants, & dives!
New Image Brewing Company - Arvada
New Image Brewing is located in Olde Town Arvada, excellent beers & bites in a walkable mini-downtown located ~6 min from our home.
Colorado Tap House
Located just north of us in Westminster, another favorite spot tucked right on Ralston Creek with good beer, drinks, & food!
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

Standley Lake is a close reservoir where you can hike, run, explore, or rent paddleboards & kayaks!
Chatfield State Park
While this reservoir & state park are further south in Littleton, we have spent countless days here paddleboarding, kayaking, & hiking. Paddleboards & kayaks are available to rent, and there are horse stables for trail rides! The drive down from Arvada/Golden is also lovely, passing Morrison & Red Rocks Amphitheater as well.
