It all started back in 2012. Brian was staying over at a mutual family friend's house for a baseball game, and while hanging out, he made a bet with his friend that he could talk to any girl in his contact list. After scrolling through, Brian randomly called Michaela. What was supposed to be a quick chat turned into an all-night conversation that neither of them wanted to end. But then life happened, and they didn’t talk again until a year later. Fast forward to 2013, they found each other on Instagram, exchanged numbers, and this time they actually stayed in touch. They started FaceTiming every day and night, building a solid friendship and connection. Things weren’t always straightforward, though. Both of them were still seeing other people, but somehow they always made time for each other, even though they were busy with their own lives. It was clear that the connection they had was more than what they were getting from anyone else. Brian used to joke around with his friends, telling them Michaela was his future wife - He just knew. By December 2013, both of them realized they were over trying to date other people and were ready to see where this friendship could go. On January 6, 2014, Brian finally asked Michaela to be his girlfriend, and she said yes. By October that same year, they were saying "I love you" to each other something neither of them ever expressed to anyone. In August 2015, as they prepared for the long-distance challenge of college, Brian gave Michaela a promise ring. It was a symbol of his commitment, with the promise that one day it would be replaced with a wedding ring. And on January 4, 2025, that promise became reality when Brian asked Michaela to marry him. From that first random phone call to this moment, we’ve built something amazing. It’s been a journey of laughter, patience, and a whole lot of love, and we’re so excited to keep writing our story together.
