We met at the Museum of Nature and Art in Denver, CO. As we wandered through the halls, admiring the exhibits and sharing our stories, a spark ignited between us. Our connection deepened with each passing date, and before we knew it, we were officially dating.

We started our life together in Castle Rock, Colorado in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. After five short months we moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania so that I (Duncan) could pursue my dreams of becoming a Union lineman. During our year spent in Pittsburgh, Sofi supported me while I worked and went to school on weekends. I was then given an opportunity to further my chances of getting an apprenticeship by going to a Veteran's only lineschool in Texas. Upon my acceptance to the Lazy Q Line School, Sofi made the sacrifice to go back to Mexico while I attended the school. After I completed my training in Texas Sofi and I were finally reunited and heading back west to Billings, Montana where I started my apprenticeship with the IBEW.
