We met in 2014, in the first semester of our graduate program in City Planning at UC Berkeley. Amidst a frenzy of new things to learn, places to explore, and community to build, we became fast friends. Our first Halloween together we attended a party dressed as Robert Moses and Jane Jacobs (two of planning's best-known arch-nemeses) and by the following autumn, a romance beyond friendship took us by surprise. We fell in love and into each other's lives swiftly, with ease and delight, finding in the other a partner who shared our love of ideas, appreciation for the wilderness, our ethics, joy in making music, and a deep reverence for bread and cheese. We are so thrilled to bring together our families and friends to help us honor the path that has carried us to this occasion, and to celebrate the commitment and building of the path ahead.
