One of our favorite places in Washington! Take the ferry from Anacortes to either Orcas, Lopez, or San Juan Island. Highly suggest renting a scoot coupe at Suzie's Mopeds to drive around San Juan Island. Lots of fun little stops along the way! Be sure to check out the alpaca farm, lavender field, lighthouses, the wildlife (whales, foxes, eagles), wineries, Roche Harbor, and try to find the island camel!
Take a few days to do a loop around the Olympic peninsula. Start off your road trip by going up the 101 in the Hood Canal and stop at Hama Hama Oyster Saloon to shuck your own oysters!
About 2 1/2 hours from Seattle, Mount Rainier is one (of 3!) of Washington's National Parks. Fun Facts: Mount Rainier is Washington's tallest mountain, sitting at more than 14,000 ft. It's also an active volcano and the most glaciated peak in the contiguous 48 states. Click on the link to find more info on driving the loop around the park!
2+ hour drive from Seattle, Leavenworth is a cute Bavarian village up in the North Cascades, known for it's Oktoberfest. Beautiful drive and perfect for a day trip.
About 30 min north of Seattle with over 100+ wine tasting rooms. Perfect for a fall day!
Take Chuckanut Drive up to Bellingham. Take a hike up Oyster Dome and stop at Taylor Shellfish Farms for oysters afterwards. (Can you tell we love oysters?). Then check out some breweries in Bellingham.
