Welcome Party: Smart Casual Ceremony & Reception: Garden Cocktail Most events will be outdoors and it can get chilly at night. We will do our best to keep everyone warm, but we do suggest bringing a jacket. We will also have a a large tent, in the event that it rains. Ladies - please wear shoes that you will feel comfortable walking on grass with (i.e. stilettos or a skinny heel might not be a good idea).
If you will be traveling in from out of town, we are STRONGLY advising that you rent a car to aid you in getting around (you may complain about this now, but you will be thankful for the advice once you actually get here). You will be required to take a ferry to get from the Seattle mainland to Vashon Island – there are no bridges connecting the island to the mainland. Vashon Island does not have taxis, Uber, Lyft, etc., so we, again, recommend renting a car to (not only) get to/from Vashon, but also so you can explore the island, as well.
Yes, we have rented a school bus (island lyfe!) for Saturday night. Please use the RSVP section to confirm if you will be utilizing the shuttle.
