PLEASE LET US KNOW IN YOUR RSVP WHERE YOU WILL BE STAYING There are two accommodation options for the venue: The West Coast Wilderness Lodge and The Backeddy Resort We are encouraging guests to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. These rooms are the most central and we've secured a substantial discount, so they should be a good option for most people. We are required to book all of these rooms (excluding the Large Forest Suites) as part of the venue reservation, so if for some reason they do not fill up (we expect they will fill up quickly) we may ask some people to change their reservations.

West Coast Wilderness Lodge

This is where the Welcome BBQ, Wedding and Reception will take place. The Wilderness Lodge has several room options available (discounted rates listed, prices in CAD - Canadian Dollars; maximum occupancy listed): Forest View Room: 2 adults – $255/night Forest View Suite: 2 adults + 2 children (2-12) or 1 minor (13-18) – $340/night Ocean View Room: 2 adults – $320/night Ocean View Suite: 2 adults + 2 children (2-12) or 1 minor (13-18) – $425/night Cliffside Ocean View Suite: 2 adults – $425/night Large Forest Suites: 4 adults – $500/night Once you RSVP with your preferred room type, your room will be assigned at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge. We will let you know when it is time to contact the Lodge to book your room (~6 months before the event). Please do not call to book your room ahead of time and please don’t try to book your room online (it won’t be available).

Backeddy Resort & Marina

The Backeddy is a short 5 minute walk from the Wilderness Lodge and has a variety of rooms available, from rustic geodesic domes to modern waterfront cabins. Modern Oceanfront Cabin: 2 guests – $399/night Large Vintage Cabin: 4 guests – $359/night Small Vintage Cabin: 2 guests – $299/night Double Inn Room: 4 guests – $209/night Single Inn Room: 2 guests – $159/night Geodesic Glamping Dome: 2 guests – $119/night Please note: - Rates in CAD (Canadian Dollars). - Large Vintage Cabins are suitable for 2 adults + 2 children or 4 close friends. - Double Inn Rooms are located on the 2nd floor of the inn with stair access only. - Geodesic Domes don’t have washrooms. Bathroom and shower facilities are in the nearby marina washhouse. If you are opting to stay at the Backeddy, please select the Backeddy as your preferred lodging when you RSVP (from the dropdown menu). Please then contact us directly with your preferred room type (see above). Please do not book the room, as we will need to do a group booking.

Shuttle From Vancouver Airport to West Coast Wilderness Lodge

We are currently gauging interest in group transportation to and from the West Coast Wilderness Lodge (WCWL) and the Vancouver Airport (YVR). Please review the options below. YVR --> WCWL on Friday, August 30/Saturday, August 31 WCWL --> YVR on Monday, September 2/Tuesday, September 3 The trip includes a ferry from Vancouver to the Sunshine Coast. There are a couple of options with respect to departure and arrival times for each day based on ferry sailing times. Friday, August 30/Saturday, August 31 Option 1: Departure from YVR at ~12:30pm. Estimated arrival at WCWL ~4:45pm Option 2: Departure from YVR at ~2:45pm. Estimated arrival at WCWL ~7:15pm Please note the Welcome BBQ starts at 5pm on Saturday, though dinner will likely be served until close to 8pm. Monday, September 2/Tuesday, September 3 Option 1: Departure from WCWL at ~9:00am. Estimated arrival at YVR ~1:15pm Option 2: Departure from WCWL at ~11:00am. Estimated arrival at YVR ~3:30pm In order to organize a shuttle that will benefit the most guests, please use the RSVP page to let us know: a) if you are interested in group transportation b) which day you would like to arrive and depart c) which departure options you prefer The cost will depend on the number of people participating, but we think it will be in the range of $80-100 CAD per person (round trip; slightly less for children).

Renting a car for the weekend and driving yourself is also an option. Rental cars are available at the Vancouver Airport. Should you opt to drive yourself, we highly recommend making a reservation for the ferry (both ways). Reservations are limited so book as early as possible. It is a long weekend which is a very popular sailing time. Without a booking, vehicles are loaded in order of arrival at the terminal on the next available sailing.
