Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Ali Flath and Douglas Lee-Chan
Below are some of Doug and Ali's favorite places to hang out around town. Please see the FAQ page for food-related recommendations.

Round1 Bowling & Amusement

5950 East Broadway Boulevard, Tucson, AZ 85711

This is where Doug proposed to Ali. So, yea, it's pretty special. Round1 is a Japanese-style arcade with a myriad of games to play. Doug and Ali love spending time downstairs at the claw machines.

Rock Solid Climbing + Fitness

3949 West Costco Drive, Tucson, AZ 85741

Doug's favorite place to go rock climbing. If you're down to boulder, call Doug!

Tumamoc Hill Hiking Trail

Tumamoc Hill Road, Tucson, AZ 85745

Ali hikes Tumamoc every Sunday morning with Mary Jeanne. If you have time, she highly recommends! The view at the top is worth it. The trail is paved, but it does get to a pretty steep incline in about 5 spots.

Sentinel Peak

Tucson, AZ 85745

A short drive up the mountain will show you breathtaking views of Tucson. If you don't think Tumamoc is something you can do, Doug and Ali highly recommend driving up "A" Mountain to see all of Tucson.

F45 Training St. Philips

4280 North Campbell Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85718

This is Ali's F45 gym. She will undoubtedly be going every morning up until the day before the wedding, then again the Monday after. Hit her up if you want to join!

R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy

1295 North Martin Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85721

This is where Doug and Ali met (specifically in the Medical Library). We don't necessarily recommend you go out of your way to visit here, but the campus is pretty gorgeous. There is a clear walking path/tram ride to main campus as well, where you can walk around The Mall. There are lots of restaurants and coffee shops to enjoy on University as well.

Topgolf

4050 West Costco Drive, Tucson, AZ 85741

Doug loves losing to Ali at Top Golf.

Tucson Mall

Tucson, AZ

If you forgot to pack something and need a mall to go to, Tucson Mall would be the closest.

Main Event Tucson

4700 South Landing Way, Tucson, AZ 85714

Pretty much the American version of Round1. They have a ropes course, pool tables, and bowling too. This Main Event was just built and is newer than the other one in town.

Mt Lemmon Cookie Cabin

12781 North Sabino Canyon Park, Mount Lemmon, AZ 85619

If you have an extra few hours to spare, Doug and Ali recommend driving up Mt. Lemmon and enjoying a cookie and a slice of pizza from The Cookie Cabin. The views on the drive are spectacular and it's so cool turning a corner and seeing nature change from cactus to pine trees.

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

2021 North Kinney Road, Tucson, AZ 85743

An outdoor desert "zoo" where you can see local flora and fauna.

Reid Park Zoo

3400 East Zoo Court, Tucson, AZ 85716

Ali loves going to the zoo multiple times a year. Whenever they have special events, she goes with Tracy and Elena and takes lots of pictures. They are currently expanding the zoo so parts of it are under constructions, but maybe once March rolls around they will be done. Still worth a visit!

Splitting Timber Axe Throwing Tucson

6401 Marana Center Boulevard, Tucson, AZ 85742

Doug and Ali love going to Splitting Timbers for a quick 1 hour date. If you end up winning, they let you throw the "big axe" that was supposedly thrown by Jason Mamoa! The other axe throwing company in town has ninja stars you can throw, but Doug and Ali like Splitting Timbers more.

Biosphere 2

32540 South Biosphere Road, Oracle, AZ 85739

This place is super unique and a cool experience. It's called Biosphere "2" because Earth is Biosphere 1. They do biological research on survivability and ultimately have helped further ecological understanding. Ali thought Doug told her once that Biosphere 2 discovered that trees require wind to survive in an enclosed structure, but Doug does not remember this.
