Flight
If you are flying, the best airport to fly into is Seattle-Tacoma International airport.
Travel Note
To get to Vashon Island for our wedding, you'll need to take a ferry from West Seattle (ferries also depart from Tacoma and Port Orchard). Follow the signs to the Vashon Ferry Terminal at the Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal. Make sure to tell the ferry workers that you are going to Vashon (not Southworth). IMPORTANT: It's a 20-minute ferry ride and then a 20-minute drive from the North-end ferry terminal to our venue; so give yourself about an hour of travel time from the ferry dock to the wedding. **The ceremony starts at 4:00 so we recommend catching the 2:20 ferry at the latest to save yourself stress. If you miss the 3:15 ferry, you'll miss the ceremony.** Our suggestion is to take an early ferry and get lunch on Vashon and explore the cute shops downtown before the wedding starts. Click on the 'view' button below to see the ferry schedule (make sure to enter the correct date and then select "get schedule").
Travel Note
The easiest way to get around Vashon is by car (there will be free parking available at the venue) so if you're coming from out of town we recommend taking a rental car onto the ferry. We're also looking into hiring transportation to help guests get around the island (Lyft/Uber isn't really an option there). If that's something you'd be interested in let us know!
House Or Rental
Your best bet for lodging on the island is an AirBnB (or Vrbo) rental but they tend to book up quickly well in advance.
Travel Note
If you have a RV or a tent, you are more than welcome to camp on-site Friday and/or Saturday! If you're flying in from out of state you can rent a camper van at several places in Seattle for the weekend. Or let us know if you want to borrow a tent from us. Just be sure to give us a heads up if you plan to crash at the venue!
Hotel
This Western-themed ranch campground offers a variety of lodging options such as cabins and tents.
Travel Note
We recommend spending the night on the island so you can stay and party with us as late as you like—but if you plan to sleep in Seattle, make sure you're aware of the ferry schedule and let us know if you'll need transportation to the ferry at the end of the night.
Hotel
If you prefer to take the ferry back to West Seattle at the end of the night, this charming bed and breakfast is only a five minute drive away from the ferry landing.
Hotel
This waterfront hotel in Tacoma is a 15-minute ferry ride from the southern tip of Vashon Island. Instead of the ferry back to Seattle, you would take the Pt Defiance / Tahlequah ferry at the end of the night.
