Our wedding is entirely outside but we are vaxxed and boosted, as are the majority of our guests. To protect our high-risk loved ones, guests should be prepared to show proof of either full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test (taken within 24 hours before the ceremony) to enter. If you are unvaccinated, we prefer that you wear a mask when not eating and drinking. Of course, anyone is welcome to mask up if they feel more comfortable doing so. Most importantly: if you feel sick or have had exposure, we ask that you stay home and celebrate with us at another time.
We are lucky enough to get to host our wedding on Krinsky family property on the beautiful Vashon Island, which is adjacent to Seattle. The welcome event, ceremony, and reception will all take place at the same address (which you can find on the schedule page).
Vashon is a short and scenic ferry ride from West Seattle. See the Travel page for important info about taking the ferry!
4:00! Make sure to take an earlier ferry than you think you need to, because we won't be able to wait for anyone who misses their boat.
No. If you don't have a car, make plans to carpool with friends and family or reach out to us so we can arrange your transportation.
Yes (in fact, we recommend driving onto the ferry since it's easiest to get around the island by car), but it will be limited so it would be great if you carpool with friends and family.
Lodging is limited on the island but see the travel page for our suggestions. You're also welcome to camp on-site! Just let us know if that's your preference.
Yes! We would love to see you Friday night for a casual welcome event that will include snacks, drinks, and live music. See the Schedule page for more.
Festive cocktail attire is requested — emphasis on festive! This is an outdoor summer wedding so we want everyone to be comfortable (i.e. wear something you can dance in and avoid heels that sink into the grass). That said, it is a celebration so we encourage everyone to take the opportunity to dress up a little and have fun expressing your style. Examples include a cocktail dress, a suit (ties and jackets optional), a retro jumpsuit, a dressy blouse with nice pants, a maxi dress, bold colors and funky accessories. As long as you don't wear blue jeans or a wedding gown, you won't be under- or over-dressed :) Note: if you're not familiar with the Seattle area, you might be unprepared for how quickly it can cool down in the evenings in summer—so you may want to follow Kelly's personal rule of "always bring a jacket!"
No. That's what we hired our talented photographers for! Please put your phone/camera away during the ceremony and be in the moment with us, including when people are walking down the aisle. For the rest of the wedding, we encourage guests to post pictures using our wedding hashtag #campkrinsky so we can see them, too!
