Erin and Doug’s story began just like any other modern fairytale….in the wilds of online dating. Both were getting discouraged while trying to find their happily ever after, but matched just days before they both were about to swear off online dating. After a few weeks of nonstop texting and discovering their mutual love of family, travel, and of course, all things Disney, they finally met for dinner in August 2022. What was supposed to be a quick dinner date turned into four hours of constant conversation and walking around Disney Springs. A second date at Universal Studios came the following week, and the rest is history!

The day began like any other. Doug went to work, Erin was recovering from a shift the evening before, and they had planned to go to Disney for a low key anniversary celebration that evening. Of course, it was Orlando in August, and with the heat wave it felt like approximately one million degrees outside. Doug had planned a lovely evening of park time, walking around the lake and had dreams of a sunset proposal. Erin had other ideas, and unknowingly threw a wrench in his plans wanting to go straight to snacks (it was HOT out that day!) Doug managed to pull her to the side at Sea Breeze Point, one of Erin’s favorite spots outside the park, got down on one knee, and before he could even finish asking the question, she said yes!
