We are so excited to be getting married in St. Louis exactly 5 years from the day we met! November 1, 2020 Conner and Hanna were headed to brunch to celebrate their respective friends birthdays. Hanna had just moved to St. Louis 2 weeks prior for a new job opportunity. Coincidentally (or what we refer to as fate), we both showed up that afternoon at the popular downtown bar, Wheelhouse. The two were sat at neighboring tables with a mutual friend between both parties. As their reservation times came to an end, the hostess came over and told them it was time to go. Both parties were just getting started on their bottomless mimosas, which still had another few hours to go. The hostess agreed to allow both parties to join at the bar as long as they did not walk around the restaurant due to social distancing constraints at the time. As both parties got up from their tables to move over to the bar, Conner and Hanna locked eyes. Hanna walked over to Conner and ever so gracefully asked if she could "funnel his beer tower." As a true gentleman concerned for her health, Conner told Hanna "no, there is a pandemic going on, you can get a cup if you want some beer." Hanna responded that she didn't really like beer, just wanted to have fun sticking her head under the nozzle but thanks. After this interaction Hanna and Conner got to talking, the drinks kept flowing, and this day is now referred to as the $2,000 brunch! (Not our money, we would never spend that much money on brunch, and fun fact: Conner doesn't even like brunch!) Learning that Hanna just moved to St. Louis, Conner helped welcome her to her new town by showing her around all his favorite spots. Thankfully for Conner, Hanna was interested in all the same things. The couple soon started dating, met each other's family and friends and eventually moved in together. June 7, 2024 Hanna and Conner made their way down to Palm City to celebrate Tammy's 60th birthday! Conner asked Hanna if she'd like to go out the night before for a happy hour date night at their favorite hometown spot on the beach, Kyle G's. Hanna knew Conner had to be up to something after seeing him so nervous and quiet while out for drinks that night. After sharing some appetizers, the two headed down to the beach for an evening stroll where Conner finally popped the question. To Hanna's surprise the two headed back home to a house filled with their friends and family to celebrate their engagement! We are so excited to welcome our out of town guests to St. Louis and happy to be celebrating with our local friends and family the love we have built here over the past 5 years!
