The Brooklyn Museum has an incredible permanent collection, and always interesting rotating exhibitions. It is one of our favorite museums to visit together - just as interesting as The Met, with way fewer crowds. Plus, it's one of Dorothy's clients!
Dorothy was living in this neighborhood when she met Andy, and this was a favorite spot to hang out in together. It's also where we got engaged! If the weather is nice, stop by Dutch Baby Bakery on 187th & Fort Washington for a coffee and quick snack, then stroll through the park and enjoy the fall foliage and views of the Hudson River. Take the A train to 190th St, then use the elevator exit to reach the best entrance to the park.
Located inside Fort Tryon Park, this museum is a branch of The Met, focused on medieval art & architecture. This is another great off-the-beaten path museum to walk through if you're looking for some art without the size & popularity of the main Met Museum. Don't miss the famous unicorn tapestry!
