YES! Please see the schedule page and RSVP to each event throughout the wedding weekend. We promise more specific details will be shared as soon as possible. We’re working hard behind the scenes to plan and coordinate everything. We hope you can join us for it all!

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Cocktail attire. Florals, autumnal hues, moody vibes, blazers and bow ties encouraged. Let your fashion flag fly! Please avoid wearing green velvet or white/ivory.

Are kids welcome?

We adore your kids and love seeing you adore your kids...AND...we want this to be a parents night off. If your kiddos are traveling with you, our wedding planners can help make arrangements to hire a sitter for the night in your room at Cahernane!

What should I pack?

Answer

Clothing: Ireland in late October can bring frequent weather shifts. Pack lots of layers with you for your trip! A raincoat/warm jacket, a comfortable pair of shoes to walk in, day to day clothes you can comfortably move in and layer with, etc. and make sure you have gloves, a hat, and scarf for extra warmth if needed! Miscellaneous: The UK and Ireland use Type G power plugs, featuring three rectangular pins in a triangular pattern, and operate at 230V/50Hz. Easily found at online retailers for cheap. You may also want to look into a voltage converter for hair tools/clothing steamers. Reminder to alert your bank of your travel plans! It is also encouraged to get some Euros and carry a small amount of cash for small vendors or rural spots, (some pubs are cash only), though cards are widely accepted.

I’m staying in Ireland through Samhain (Halloween), where should I celebrate?

We will be spending this folklore filled Celtic holiday in County Meath (about a 45-60min drive from Dublin) at the Púca Festival hosted in the towns of Trim and Athboy. Feel free to join us there if you're still on your journey through Ireland! Fun fact: Ireland is the birthplace of Halloween, the Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in)—the tradition of carving pumpkins originally comes from the folklore of Stingy Jack, who wandered the earth with a single glowing ember inside a turnip. People in Ireland and Scotland used to carve frightening faces into turnips to scare away wandering spirits.
