This event will be festive Indian or wear your brightest colors. We will have some small accessories for the ladies to wear.
The word “Sangeet” means music, but during a wedding this translates to Music Night or Musical party. The premise of the Sangeet is not only to rejoice but to join the families so that they familiarize themselves with one another prior to the big wedding day. There will also be henna for those who would like to have it applied on their hands. Mehndi (or henna) is an herbal paste associated with positive spirits and good luck. It is a temporary tattoo that lasts upto 7 days.

Recommend pants or long dresses. You will want to be comfortable because everyone is seated on the ground for the entirety of the ceremony. Also, a head covering is required inside the gurudwara (temple). We will provide them too just in case!
The Sikh ceremony, the Anand Karaj, means the "ceremony of joy" and will take place in the gurudwara, the Sikh place of worship. There will be singing from the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book during the ceremony which are musical compositions called shabads. We will have the English translation displayed so that everyone will have an idea of what is being said. After the ceremony, langar will be served which is a traditional vegetarian meal. We will also have light snacks and tea/coffee in the morning and throughout the ceremony before lunch.

Black tie. Come dressed your very best but with comfortable shoes so we can dance all night! For men: tux or suit+ tie.
Vows Ceremony will start at 4PM followed by cocktail hour with some light bites. This will be on a beautiful outdoor patio that features the beautiful ocean coastline. We will then proceed indoors to the ballroom for the reception, dinner, and dancing.
