Dieneke was born and raised in Greer, South Carolina before heading to NYC for college and then all over the world before landing in Columbia, Missouri for graduate school. What was supposed to be a 2 year plan turned into 3 years of school, jumping into political advocacy and staying for a dream job, becoming a Missouri resident for 8 years. It's a good thing she stayed or else she never would have met Joe in 2019. They worked together on a project and the rest is history. Having survived a pandemic early in their relationship and not getting sick of each other, they knew it was time to go ahead and make it official. Now, they can't wait to celebrate with their friends and family in the building she always dreamed of owning and making her house as a kid.

Joe was born in Council Bluffs, IA but grew up in Texas and New Mexico before settling at Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri where he completed high school. He spent many years in the service industry before a poorly advised foray into politics changed his trajectory. This cosmic realignment put he and Dieneke on a collision course that would culminate in their meeting in 2019 (months too late to save his campaign for state senate). When they first met, their relationship was professional, but he was persistent, and eventually with the aid of a global pandemic, a hidden aptitude for making cocktails, and a deep, mutual love for all things four legged and furry they decided to do it forever.

Matron of Honor

Thea is Dieneke's only sister, meaning her built in life-long best friend. Being the older sister, she has had the privilege of knowing Dieneke her entire life.

Isabelle Poor

Bridesmaid

Isabelle is Joe's daughter and one of the absolute best humans on earth. We're thrilled to have her in our worlds, but especially as part of the wedding party because we couldn't imagine taking this step without her by our sides.

Tori Pitzen

Bridesmaid

Tori, Dieneke's niece, is our junior bridesmaid. She made Dieneke an aunt 10 years ago, and she's been rooting for this wedding longer than anyone. It's only right to let her share the special day with us.

Justin Poor

Best Man

Justin is Joe's brother who has been through it all (well, almost-- he missed those first 2 amazing years of Joe's life). Though he lives in Springfield, MO, he is always only a text or call away, in the good times and bad. For that reason, we're still iffy on if we're letting him have a mic or not during the reception....stay tuned.

Judd Poor

Groomsman

Judd is another of Joe's brothers (you might sense a theme). Inspired by his big brother's excellent choice of a South Carolina lady, he had to go out and find one of his own-- though he somehow convinced her to move to the great white north (Iowa).
