This is a cute little town with great food options, walking/biking path (easy access to the Swamp Rabbit Trail), and cute shops. We especially recommend Sidewall Pizza, Community Tap for a great drink, Topsoil Restaurant if you're feeling fancy, Sushiyama, and Chicora Alley. And for your morning caffeine needs, Leopard Forest Coffee is Dina's favorite!
You won't have great cell service as you make your way up to Saluda, but it's absolutely worth it! Take some snacks (plenty of picnic tables and benches along the way to snag a spot), or just do a quick walk up to the beautiful falls and back. Be sure to zip into the tiny mountain town of Saluda to see Thompson's Store (at 130 years old, it's the oldest grocery store in NC).
You cannot beat the apple picking, kids activities and the famous apple cider donuts! Dina's family has been going here since she was a kid. Go a little up the road to the cute town of Hendersonville for food and shopping or visit the Carl Sandburg National Park if you've got time!
