Stroll through the brick-lined streets of downtown Leesburg, where you’ll find charming boutique shops, cozy cafés, and excellent local restaurants. Morven Park is perfect for a peaceful walk and a quiet moment to unwind, this is also where we took our engagement photos. If you’re in the mood for a great breakfast sandwich and coffee, BKD Bagels is a must. And for those who love a little shopping, we’ve heard the Leesburg Outlets are not to be missed!
Wineries & Breweries
Leesburg sits in the heart of Virginia wine country — nearby vineyards like Stone Tower Winery and Willowcroft Farm are ideal for an afternoon tasting, and there are plenty of craft breweries and cideries to explore.
Moo Thru Herndon
Moo Thru is one of Colin's favorite childhood ice cream spots that has quickly become a tradition for us whenever we are in the area. Be sure to check it out if you are in the mood for a sweet treat!
Harpers Ferry
Just a 30 minute drive away is Harpers Ferry, WV which is where we got engaged! It is a picturesque historic town where the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers meet. There are shops, restaurants, and hiking trails in the area for all levels to enjoy. If you have time, check out the Rabbit Hole which was our first stop in post-engagement celebrations. When you cross over into West Virginia, be sure to play Take Me Home, Country Roads for us.
